TECHNOLOGY is defined as the application or scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry.

This was the scientific definition, but according to we people:

TECHNOLOGY is the skills, methods and processes used to achieve goals. People can use technology to: produce goods and services. Carry out goals, such as scientific investigation or sending spaceship to the moon.

TECHNOLOGY can do anything and everything!

Do you know the history of ‘technology’??

THOMAS EDISON, an American inventor who, singly or jointly, held a world record 1,093 patents. In addition, he created the world’s ‘FIRST’ industrial research laboratory.

Technology was made nearly two million years ago, stone tools such as this are the first known technological invention.

And then… technology went on upgrading. And now technology is termed as ‘modern technology’. Do you know who is the father of modern technology? Yes!! You are right. He is NIKOLA TESLA.

How did technology start? It started with the beginning of life on earth, and goes until the founding of early modern technologies, such as computer and nuclear power. The era of technology started when wheel was invented which is one of the most important technology and after it, more things were invented. The first technology device was ‘THE TELEPHONE’. [One of the most popular forms of communication ever] It was invented by ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL in 1876. Then the first radio developed by GUGLIELMO MARCONI in 1894. All of these were extremely crucial emerging technologies that led to big advances in the information technology field.

Why was technology created?? TECHNOLOGY was created to fill the gap between a void, need, or want. And obviously, in olden days, communication was a major barrier for the people, so to kill this, people needed a way to communicate faster and better between vast distances than sending mail, which could take months to get from one point to another. But now? Just a message or call away. Isn’t that very helpful??!!

No doubt, technology is helping us in every aspects of life.

But as you know, every thing has its own advantages and as well as its disadvantages.

Let’s first have a glimpse of its pros’

• Easily spend our time- Because of technology, we can easily pass our time. We can watch thousands of movies, play online games, visit any important article, everything we can get so quickly.
• Improve learning methods- Software gadgets, and even pencils are all technology options that make it easier to find out new skills. It’s possible to integrate numerous tools into the classroom to facilitate the training process. Even a calculator may be a tool that wasn’t available that way back. We have more information available to us with what we concede to be simple tech items than previous generations need to experience during most of their lives.
• It obviously saves majority of the time.
• Through technology many innovations can be created in various fields.
• Better communication
• It gives us more mobility options

Now let’s have a look at its cons:

• It reduces job opportunities- This the biggest con of technology, if people won’t work, how will India become a tertiary country [fully developed country]
• Addiction- The compulsive behavior developed due to technology which further made social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube, Whatsapp and etc leads to negative effects. It may also lead to mental illness, frauds and scams.
• Job insecurity
• Complexity
• Crime and terrorism
• Social disconnect.

These were the disadvantages of technology

TECHNOLOGY is the most important term in everyone’s life. It’s so important in today’s world because it serves a variety of functions in many of the most important aspects of modern society.

Come on guys, let’s use technology in good term now. It is the most essential part of our life. It makes our life so easy to go.
